The Modena Speed range has been developed for one purpose: achieving maximum speed with total control. The collection consists of three dedicated models — Modena Speed 40, 45, and 52 — each identified by its board width and optimized for specific wind and water conditions.

Every shape is the result of years of dedicated research and development, refined through close collaboration with some of the fastest windsurfers in the world. Continuous testing at the highest level has allowed every detail to be optimized, creating boards capable of delivering exceptional acceleration, efficiency, and stability at extreme speeds.

The Modena Speed has played a key role in numerous World and National speed record performances, with invaluable feedback from elite riders driving the evolution of each generation. The result is a highly specialized speed board designed for sailors who demand uncompromising performance and the confidence to push beyond their limits.

About the Modena Speed

The Modena Speed 40 is the foundation of the entire range, developed through years of intensive testing and continuous refinement at the legendary Lüderitz Speed Challenge. The experience and data gathered from this benchmark model have driven the evolution of the larger Modena Speed boards.

The Modena Speed 45 shares the same hull concept and rocker line as the 40, while incorporating a slightly increased V in the tail section. Its wider outline and tail, thicker rails, and additional 13 liters of volume provide greater stability and control, making it the ideal board for speed competitions in medium to strong wind conditions.

The Modena Speed 52 builds on the proven design of the 45, introducing a further increase in tail V to improve control and comfort in choppy open-water conditions. A concave deck lowers the rider’s stance, enhancing board control while helping maintain speed and momentum through gusts and wind lulls.

With 78 liters of volume, the Modena Speed 52 is perfectly suited to high-speed open-water sessions, while also delivering outstanding performance for high-wind slalom sailing when maximum speed and control are essential.
