SUPERMODEL has gotten massive upgrades. We’ve put it on a diet, shaving off up to an incredible 550 grams, completely reworked the bridles from an 8-point to a 12-point system.

Weight reduction
By reducing the total weight up to 15% compared to last year’s SUPERMODEL, flight characteristics have drastically increased. The 11m is now 450 grams lighter! Increased responsiveness, higher jumps, better low-end, faster loops, the benefits are endless.

All new bridles
Making the platform even more solid in all conditions was our goal. By adding 4 attachment points, we’ve created a kite not only more stable in nuking winds, the overall feeling of stiffness, responsiveness, and stability is instantly noticeable.

HTF 2
The introduction of Hybrid Torsion Frame is a major success, and further development and hours of testing and analysing led us to greatly improve the implementation. New strut material and an added FLEXLITE segment make it respond even faster and turn faster and smoother.

A kite looping dream
Overall work on canopy tension, seams, and trailing edge materials have resulted in significantly less chance of canopy flutter when aggressively looping, which could potentially slow down the kite. SUPERMODEL loops smoothly while accelerating through the turn, for the most confident catches.

We all want to have the most fun possible when riding. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, your kite should be easy to ride, giving bar feedback to always feel where the kite is, so you can focus on your riding. SUPERMODEL is like an extension of your body.

One of our main focus points this year was weight reduction. Damien went to the factory and weighed every single piece that goes on the kite, and considered if he could change it or get rid of it without compromising any strength or durability in the total construction. We specifically decided not to use thinner bladders, although an easy weight saver, we haven’t found a lighter alternative that’s just as strong yet.

HTF comes from analyzing how kites turn, and then using a combination of different materials to greatly enhance response to steering input.

Stiff dacron
The center of the leading edge is made out of stiff dacron. This gives SuperModel HTF its stiffness and rigidity right where you want it.

FLEXLITE
FlexLite is made of a thinner, tighter yarn, that reacts quicker to pull and compression forces that happen in the material when a kite is steered. We’ve placed it on the sections of the frame that are key to making a kite turn, what we call the Torsion Zone.

SuperModel is designed with the goal to have it react and fly to perfection. The main focus is the way it performs, feels, turns, forgives, and is predictable, no matter if we are riding a twintip, a waveboard, or a foil. The end-goal is taking your riding to the next level and making your sessions more fun.

Going to a 12-point bridle system, you suddenly have a lot more parameters to work with. I ended up redesigning everything in terms of tow-points and it hasn’t just improved stability, but also the way it reacts and turns, improving on literally every single size.
