Our SUP is built with the DOUBLE LAYER FUSION + STRINGER method.

The second layer of PVC is heat-welded to the first layer without glue and the whole is put under tension. Between the two layers, the manufacturer inserts a unidirectional fiber visible on the structure.

Advantages: smooth and uniform finish, no more wrinkles or micro bubbles. No glue, 20% less weight and 40% more rigidity compared to a glued double layer structure.

Disadvantages: HIGH PRICE

In fact, some “big brands”, which invest a lot in marketing, are now forced to reduce the thickness of the PVC to save money. At Backloop, on the contrary, we want to offer the customer the best that can be found on the market in terms of quality of the final product.

The double layer fusion technology allows to significantly improve the rigidity of the board once the rider is positioned on the board.

This means that the board is much stiffer than those based on other technologies and much closer to a rigid composite board.
